A 'Tag' used to counter the people who tag any hard rock, punk, or metal music that was made in the late '80s or the '90s which may or may not have had at least 1 person with long hair as 'Grunge'. Often bands endorsed by Kurt Cobain apply to this tag, such as the Pixies, The Jesus Lizard and Dinosaur Jr. The ''victims'' are often alternative rock, noise rock and alternative metal bands. It could also apply to the more metal oriented "grunge" bands such as Alice in Chains, Soundgarden and Melvins. .
