Ariana Grande - Get Well Soon

[Intro]
You can feel it, feel it
(Yeah, yeah)

[Verse 1]
They say my system is overloaded
(Girl, what’s wrong with you? Come back down)
I'm too much in my head, did you notice?
(Girl, what’s wrong with you? Come back down)
My body's here on Earth, but I'm floatin'
(Girl, what’s wrong with you? Come back down)
Disconnected, so sometimes, I feel frozen and alone

[Chorus]
This is for everybody
Babe, you gotta take care of your body, yuh yuh yuh
Ain't no time to deny it, that is why we talking about it
Yeah, we talking about it
To deal with it, don't try to get by it
Ain't no time to deny it
So we had to sit down and just write it

[Verse 2]
Want you to get better (Woo!)
My life is so controlled by the what-ifs
(Girl, what’s wrong with you? Come back down)
Is there anybody else whose mind does this, mmm?
(Girl, what’s wrong with you? Come back down)
Down, down, down, down
Is there such a ladder to get above this?
(Down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down)
(Girl, what’s wrong with you? Come back down)
(Down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down)
Maybe I should ground myself where the mud is
Before I'm gone

"get well soon" serves as the final track for Ariana's album "Sweetener". The extra 40 seconds after the outro serves as paying respect for the Manchester Bombing that happened in the Dangerous Woman Tour. Ariana also replied to a tweet on Twitter saying what the song is about, she replied: "isss ab my anxiety. i felt like i was floating for like 3 months last year & not in a nice way. like i outside my body? was v scary and i couldn’t breathe well. so it’s ab that. & lots of voices in my head singin. i hope it comforts ppl who hear it pls" On a 2018 Beats 1 Interview, someone asked: Why was it called "get well soon?" Pharrell Williams (The Producer) commented: People who are often dealing with mental health issues don’t signal loud enough for the world to understand that they’re suffering. And also our hearing for people who are going through stuff like that needs work too; the way in which we listen and the way in which we acknowledge people. We need to pay attention to those signs and those signals. What I love about “get well soon” is this is Ari going through something not quite as severe but going through a situation where she was depressed … and she had the willingness to put that out there for the world and that’s how we made “get well soon” because she was open and she trusted and she let me push. We wanted this to be a hallmark card for that kind of situation.
