Bring Me the Horizon - It Never Ends

[Verse 1]
Started off as a one night stand, lingered to a fling.
The sirens and the surgeons, didn't seem to mean a thing
.
Hide your fangs all you want, you still need the blood.
Tell us that it's different now, you're up to no good.

Take my hand, show me the way,
We are the children that fell from grace.
Take my hand, show me the way,
We are the children who can't be saved
.

[Pre-Chorus]
One more nail in the coffin,
One more foot in the grave,
One more time I'm on my knees, as I try to walk away.
How has it come to this?

[Chorus]
I've said it once, I've said it twice,
I've said it a thousand fucking times,
That I'm okay, that I'm fine,
That it's all just in my mind!
But this has got the best of me,
And I can't seem to sleep,
It's not because you're not with me,
It's because you never leave
!

(I've said it one... thousand fucking times)

[Verse 2]
(You say this is suicide?)
You say this is suicide?
I say this is a war.
And I'm losing the battle,
Man down
, man down!
Oh!
Is this what you call love?
This is, a war, I can't win!

[Pre-Chorus]
One more nail in the coffin,
One more foot in the grave,
One more time I'm on my knees, as I try to walk away.
Everything I loved, became everything I lost
.

[Chorus]
I've said it once, I've said it twice,
I've said it a thousand fucking times,
That I'm okay, that I'm fine,
That it's all just in my mind!
But this has got the best of me,
And I can't seem to sleep,
It's not because you're not with me,
It's because you never leave!
It's not because you're not with me,
It's because you never leave.

(Whispered - Every second, every minute, every hour, every day)

[Outro]
Every second, every minute, every hour, every day
It never ends, it never ends
.
Every second, every minute, every hour, every day
It never ends, it never ends
Every second, every minute, every hour, every day
It never ends, it never ends
Every second, every minute, every hour, every day
It never ends, it never ends!

Writers: Oliver Sykes, Lee Malia, Matt Kean, Matt Nicholls, Jona Weinhofen Producer: Fredrik Nordström "It Never Ends" is a song by English metalcore band Bring Me the Horizon, featured on their 2010 third studio album There Is a Hell, Believe Me I've Seen It. There Is a Heaven, Let's Keep It a Secret. It was released as the album's first single on August 20, 2010 in the United Kingdom and August 24, 2010 in the United States. In the United States, both an explicit and censored version was made available on the mentioned release date. A 30-second sample of the song, alongside the single's cover art, was released on Amazon.com on August 12, 2010. The single was only released digitally, with no information on plans for a physical release to follow. A music video for the song premiered through the Visible Noise YouTube channel on August 21, 2010. The video was directed by Jakob Printzlau, who also created the artwork for the single and album. The first critical response to "It Never Ends" appeared in an online Metal Hammer article published 13 August, 2010, where Terry Bezer gave a thorough "track-by-track" review of There Is a Hell, Believe Me I've Seen It. There Is a Heaven, Let's Keep It a Secret, on which the song is to be featured. Bezer said the following about the song: “Thunderous fretwork over the top of luscious keyboard strings again give way to a full-throttle burst of pace. A virtually spoken word verse and a female choir are used before Oli Sykes gives way to one of the best choruses of his career to date. Thunderous, floor-shaking beating and double-bass pedal rolls from Matt Nicholls combine to create the feeling that Rhinos are steamrollering across your chest. The throat-shredding "it never ends!" for the last portion of the track is devastating. ” Drew Beringer, staff reviewer for AbsolutePunk, posted a preview analysis of the album, similar to the "track-by-track" review by Bezer, on his blog on August 17, 2010. When discussing "It Never Ends", Beringer stated that "...you can hear the significance of the album title here. The battle between hell and heaven, and this track is a great example". The overall analysis of the song is positive and he even goes on to describe it as "...[[artist]Bring Me the Horizon's] best song yet".
